Sarah Carvalho
Joey Teacher
Ms. Sarah Carvalho is new to the Koalaroo family but has over 10 years of experience working with children of all ages and exceptionalities. She was previously a yoga instructor for toddlers as well as a piano teacher for children 6 years and up. She is a Registered Early Childhood Educator with degrees in General Arts & Science, Early Childhood Education, and a Bachelor of Applied Science, majoring in Early Childhood Studies. She holds a valid Standard First Aid certification and is the lead teacher for the Joey classroom.
Ms. Carvalho values the importance of artistic expression, respecting nature, and staying connected with your inner child. She believes that spending individual time with children and their families and getting to know their interests outside of the curriculum is vital to supporting the child to flourish in their own way. She looks forward to learning more and more everyday how to be the best educator she can!
